The Generals fought hard last night against the Tigers of Columbia, but were outmatched. Struggles on special teams led the Tigers to a 21-3 lead into the 2nd Quarter. The Generals showed some spark when Tony Belle broke a 60+ yard run up the visitors sideline with just over 2 minutes left in the half. The Tigers though halted all momentum with a huge return and score to close out the half 28-10. That was it for the Generals as Columbia closed out the game with a running clock and a 56-10 victory. The Generals loss drops them to 6-3 on the season, an improvement from last season's 4-6 finish. The Generals will play for pride now when they take on the Jackson Tigers in two weeks. The Generals finished with a win against the Tigers last season and hope to do the same this year when they travel to Main Street.
