**FREE ATHLETIC PHYSICALS **
The Athletic Free complete physical date is rapidly approaching - Saturday, August 1, 2015. We have a host of pre-screening activities planned for parents and student-athletes. This year's events range from nutrition/ hydration, PlanetHS, to academic information. Everyone should arrive at the gym by 8:30am. New District/ school required forms (Athletic Packets) will be available at this time. Our new principal - Mr. Schneider - will speak briefly with coaches, parents and student-athletes. Please plan to attend. Males will be screened at Nemours and female students at Baptist. Only students transported by bus with their school will be accepted. Once again to close out the day - we will have a cookout. (All Supplemental Coaches are REQUIRED to attend)
**LETTERMAN JACKETS AND SCHOOL APPARREL **
Spread the word!! Letterman Jackets have arrived - this is the date for pick-up! On hand also will be (forsale) t-shirts, sweatshirts, visors, hats, and more.
**COACHES - CONCUSSION EDUCATION **
All certificates for head and assistant coaches (including Trainer and/ or approved volunteers) for the above courses must be on file prior to the start of your respective sport. We have submitted the required (AT17) which serve as notification to the FHSAA of required completion. Below are the instructions for completing the required courses. You will not be added/ receive your supplement until certificates are submitted - which could lead to loss in pay!
COURSE #1: “Concussion in Sports” (course must be “ordered” prior to beginning)
COURSE #2: “Sudden Cardiac Arrest” (course must be “ordered” prior to beginning)
Step 1: Go to www.nfhslearn.com.
Step 2: “Sign In” to your account using the e-mail address and password you provided at time of registering for an nfhslearn account. OR If you do not have an account, “Register” for an account.
Step 3: Click “Courses” at the top of the page.
Step 4: Scroll down to “Concussions in Sports” from the list of courses.
Step 5: Click “View Course”.
Step 6: Click “Order Course.”
Step 7: Select “Myself” if the course will be completed by you.
Step 8: Click “Continue” and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the checkout process. (There is no fee for this course.)
Beginning a Course:
Step 1: Go to www.nfhslearn.com.
Step 2: “Sign In” to your account using the e-mail address and password you provided at time of registering for an nfhslearn account.
Step 3: From your “Dashboard,” click “My Courses”.
Step 4: Click “Begin Course” on the course you wish to take. *Your course will launch on the same page of the web browser.
*Click “Back to Dashboard” when ready to exit course. Be sure to print the certificate of completion at the end of the course as each school’s athletic director is required to keep a copy on file.
