Congratulations to the 2013-2014 Bernard Wilkes Award Winner. Here is what Tammy Talley, the District Athletic Director had to say last Friday:
"This year’s recipient has been in public education for over 23 years as a Teacher, an Athletic Director, a coach and a Dean. Rosalyn Bloxom-Johnson, from Lee High School received the prestigious honor of winning the “Bernard Wilkes Award” ... at the All Gateway Conference Banquet. Coach Johnson has been a staple at Lee High for 18 of her 23 years. Her sincere generosity and compassion for students is unparallel and doesn’t go unnoticed. She strives to make sure her coaches, parents and student/athletes are well informed. She makes herself available at all times and never turns a deaf ear to anyone. Every student athlete that has prospered under her tutelage benefited from wellness to ensure they set their sights beyond high school. Congratulations Coach Johnson, we all appreciate her hard work, time and efforts."
It is a great honor to call Coach Bloxom-Johnson one of our own and our Athletic Director! Congratulations, your hard work and dedication to the athletic programs at Robert E. Lee High School has not gone unnoticed.
